In the first section are photos of my involvement with Revolutionary War re-enactments. I belong to the First New Hampshire Regiment, which was the first US Army regiment to be formed during the Revolutionary War and the last to disband. It is out of Nashua, New Hampshire. I got involved in this as the result of a friend in college who had been a bicentennial re-enactor. Although my participation has dwindled in recent years due to my involvement with my Maine houses, I still love the game. There is something amazing about waking up in a canvas tent at 5AM and hearing men chop wood, smell the cooking fires and hear the silence of the fields. Sometimes, when you leave the tent, the can see the camp with its rows of white tent and fluttering, colorful battle flags, the open fields and trees on the horizon, and feel that this is close to what is must have been like in those days.
